Important Tesla news
Tesla will operate public Megacharging at three new Forum Mobility electric-truck depots in California. Forum Mobility announced four depots adding 30 MW of heavy-duty charging capacity; Tesla will operate the public Megachargers at FM Francis in Ontario and FM Adeline and FM Coliseum in Oakland. The sites will use pull-through lanes and a mix of Megawatt Charging System and CCS hardware. Reuters independently reported the partnership. Owner/buyer impact: this does not change passenger-car charging or Hawaii availability, but it is a concrete expansion of Tesla Semi infrastructure through partner-owned sites rather than only Tesla-owned real estate. Confidence: confirmed by Forum Mobility’s announcement; deployment performance and opening dates remain forward-looking. Forum Mobility announcement · Reuters · Electrek details
No new Tesla issuer filing appeared overnight. The SEC submissions feed still lists a September 9 Form 4 as the newest Tesla filing; there is no new 8-K, 10-Q or other material issuer filing since yesterday’s brief. Confidence: confirmed from SEC submissions data. Tesla SEC submissions
Rumors and early signals
- No qualifying new rumor is strong enough to change a purchase decision. A third-party report says Tesla has added U.S. Model Y L accessories ahead of expected customer deliveries later this month, but the official Tesla Shop page was inaccessible to the unattended check and accessories do not establish that deliveries have begun. Confidence: unconfirmed/early signal. What would confirm it: accessible Tesla Shop inventory plus Tesla delivery documentation or verified customer handoffs. Not a Tesla App · Tesla Shop category
Deal watch
- Offers approaching expiration: CarsDirect’s Los Angeles-area snapshot for ZIP 90245 lists September 30 expirations, including a 2026 Model 3 RWD at $419/month for 36 months with $4,114 due at signing—an effective $533.28/month—and a 2026 Model Y RWD at $499/month with $4,194 due, an effective $615.50/month. Annual mileage, taxes, acquisition/disposition fees, credit tier and Hawaii availability are not disclosed in the cards, so these are third-party snapshots, not confirmed Hawaii offers. - Meaningful inventory discounts: Tesla’s accessible feed still tops out at $1,420 off among the visible Model Y demos. No ZIP 96825 discount was reproducibly verified.
- Signs a stronger promotion may be approaching: quarter-end is less than two weeks away, but today produced no verified national price cut, lease improvement or Hawaii-specific incentive. The unchanged demo ceiling is not evidence of a stronger offer by itself.
- Buy now or wait: wait if flexible. Today’s material development is commercial-truck infrastructure, not a consumer incentive. Buy now only if Tesla checkout returns a written ZIP 96825 quote with a VIN-specific reduction and financing terms that meet your target; otherwise preserve optionality through quarter-end.
